Noah
I teach IB Maths and most of my students come to me for AA HL, especially calculus, functions and the statistics bits they never quite trust in class. I studied maths in Texas and have been tutoring sixth form and diploma students for several years online. Lessons are usually a mix of worked examples, timed question practice and a lot of stopping to fix method before it becomes a habit.

Claire
My background is in literature, so IB English is the subject I enjoy teaching most. I work with students on Paper 1, Paper 2 and the Individual Oral, but I also help sort out the planning side when coursework starts piling up. I’m quite direct in lessons and I care a lot about clarity of argument, close reading and writing that actually sounds like the student rather than a template response.

John
I tutor IB Biology for students who want a clearer grip on the content and a sensible plan for revision. I spent four years studying molecular biology, then moved into tutoring because I liked the one-to-one side of teaching more than lab work. I’m especially good with genetics, cell biology and data questions, and I regularly help students tighten up IA ideas before they become too broad or too awkward to carry out.

Natasha
I’ve taught IB Chemistry long enough to know where students usually get stuck: stoichiometry, equilibrium, energetics and the jump from class notes to proper exam answers. My degree is in chemistry, and I also spend a lot of time helping with IA structure, processing data and writing workable conclusions. I’m organised, fairly traditional in how I teach, and I expect students to explain their thinking rather than just give me the final number.

Shaun
I teach IB Physics and usually work with students on HL mechanics, electricity, fields and the parts of Paper 2 where method marks are easy to lose. I studied physics in Texas and started tutoring while I was at university, so I’m used to explaining difficult topics without overcomplicating them. I also help with IA planning, data processing and making sure the write-up actually matches the experiment.

Brooke
I teach IB Computer Science and I tend to work best with students who understand the theory once it’s said plainly but freeze when they have to write about it under exam conditions. My degree is in computer science and I’ve also supervised a lot of IA work, from planning a sensible product to documenting testing without overcomplicating it. I cover object-oriented programming, networks, databases and pseudocode, usually with short tasks during the lesson.

Zac
I’m an IB Psychology tutor with an academic background in behavioural science, and I enjoy the subject because it asks students to think carefully rather than memorise loosely. In lessons we spend time on studies, research methods and the awkward part of linking evidence back to the question properly. I also help with ERQs, SAQs and revision planning, especially for students who know the content but are still dropping marks on structure.

Melissa
I teach IB Geography and I’m usually brought in when students need help turning case study knowledge into answers that are actually usable in the exam. I studied geography in Texas and have worked with both HL and SL students on topics like urban environments, global change and resource consumption. I also enjoy supporting the IA side of the course, particularly question choice, fieldwork write-up and making sure the analysis says something meaningful.

Tony
My subject is IB Economics. I came into tutoring after studying economics and working for a few years in research, so I’m very comfortable with the parts students often find dry at first, like market failure, exchange rates and macro policy. I keep lessons quite focused: diagrams, definitions, application and then exam practice. I also help with commentary planning and with getting students to write evaluation that sounds precise rather than vague.

Alice
I tutor IB Business Management and I like it best when lessons feel practical rather than overly textbook-heavy. My background is in business analytics, and I’ve spent the last few years helping diploma students with case study technique, finance topics and the wording of long responses. A lot of my students want support with the IA as well, so I often help them narrow their research question and avoid projects that sound good at first but are hard to execute well.
